HAPPY BIRTHDAY
THE WHATCOTT REUNION
Each year there is a clay pigeon shooting contest. Its always a lot of fun! Not only do you get made fun of for missing the small flying targets, but you get to make fun of everyone else who misses too. This time there were around thirty shotguns, so it is quite literally a BLAST!!
THE UTE STAMPEDE
SEVIER COUNTY...HOME AT LAST

Well, we did it! We moved away from Provo...a while ago! We both found jobs in Sevier County and are really excited about it. Melissa is teaching Geometry and Algebra at South Sevier High School (GO RAMS!!). She enjoys it, but is really busy! So it goes when you have to correct all those assignments and tests. Cliff is working for the State of Utah at the Dept. of Workforce services. The best part is that we are both close to family! We feel like we have been extremely blessed since we have moved here.

Trip back East
We went on a fun road trip recently with some good friends. We drove to Winter Quarters, Nauvoo, Branson (where Cliff served his mission), Carthage Jail and Liberty Jail, and Adam-ondi-ahman. It was really fun and relaxing and we learned so much and had a great time. Lucky for us, Josh stayed with his grandma. I don't think either of us could have handled him during the 3,200 mile trip. Below is picture at Adam-ondi-ahman.
We ate at Cliff's favorite restaurant in Missouri. It's Lampert's- home of the throwed rolls. It was delicious. They throw hot rolls to anyone who wants one and serve five other items to everyone just as appetizers. Then we got our food and there was tons of it! We were stuffed and I didn't even eat a third of my plate. I would go back again though. I loved it!
We loved seeing the temple and the inside is beautiful. I loved this picture of the temple with the tulips. We went at a perfect time because all the church grounds were covered in beautiful colorful tulips!

Easter
We had a fun Easter. I thought Josh looked so handsome in his new church clothes. He definitely took his time finding the few eggs we put out on the grass for him. It was good that it was a warm day. Today we woke up to at least 6 inches of heavy snow!
Shouts of for Cliff who is turning in his last and final assignment of his masters program tomorrow!

Ladycat State Champions!
We went to the 2A State Basketball Tournament last weekend and cheered on the Richfield Wildcats to the state title! The championship game went into double overtime and Richfield won their biggest rival, South Sevier, by two points. It was an exciting game! My sister was the MVP of the tournament- good job Jaquel and congratulations ladycats!
Click here if you want to read about the game and click here if you want to see some other fun pictures of the game. There is another gallery of pictures from the game the day before too.

911 Emergency
We came to Richfield for a couple days and we had interesting morning. I was chatting with my mom in her bedroom and Josh was sitting on the floor entertaining himself with the telephone. He would push a few buttons and then put the phone to his hear and jabber. Soon, the phone rang. I answered it and they said on the other end, "Hi. This is 911 dispatch. We've just had a hang up call from this phone. Is everything okay?" I wanted to die! Of course, everything was fine. I apologized again and again. Then she hung up. A few minutes later, the doorbell rang. It was a police officer. He was just following up on the 911 emergency phone call. We told him it was just the baby that called and so he asked if he could see him. He thinks he wants to talk to him about it. We take the officer down the hall and into the kitchen where Josh is sitting on the floor eating cereal. The officer laughs and says, "Well, he looks a little young to talk to." We were laughing and telling Josh that the officer came to tell him, "No no no!" The officer was really nice and said that they always have to follow up on the phone calls, no matter what the reason. Good to know that they are looking out for everyong and we were glad they were so nice about a funny accident!

Happy New Year
We have had such a wonderful break. It has been fun to have Cliff around more often. Too bad school starts again on Monday, but I guess that is good too- the sooner we start, the sooner we finish! Graduation is just around the corner.
